Get Funding
Guidelines for Requests
The Society provides funding for programs/projects that:
- benefit a group of children with disabilities rather than an “individual” child
- are one-time funding only, with no guaranteed ongoing commitment
- promote independence in children with disabilities
- improve children with disabilities’ quality of life
Funding requests are considered by the Society:
- on an ad hoc basis to charitable non-profit organizations serving Hamilton-Wentworth, Haldimand and the City of Burlington (organizations must be registered with Revenue Canada and/or sponsored by a registered charity)
- to support community-based programs for the benefit of children with disabilities (up to age 21)
If the request falls within the Society’s guidelines, please submit:
- an outline of the project, its benefits and the costs
- who will be involved in carrying out the project and their qualifications
- what other organizations/agencies you have contacted and their commitment
- number of individuals with disabilities benefitting by the project/program
- a copy of the past year’s audited financial statement
Please complete one funding application per project/program.
