HHS Foundation
Hamilton District Society for Disable Children donated $25,000 to support young patients and families that do not otherwise have access to funding to offset the costs of post-surgical cranial remoulding orthoses.
Craniosynostosis is the premature fusion of one or more sutures of the skull. The sutures allow the skull to grow to accommodate brain growth, and when one or more sutures are fused it prevents the skull from growing in the affected area. This may results in varying skull deformities depending on the suture affected.
“We are forever thankful for this life-altering support. It is amazing to know that there are compassionate people willing to help our daughter and other children have access to the specialist medical resources they need.”
